Antalya to Kas
It's an early wake-up. There was no sleeping this morning, as we are right beside the mosque, which makes for a very loud 5 am call to prayer. Some people were able to go back to sleep. The four of us sharing a room were not.
After a tasty homemade breakfast and tea, we ventured out again, destination Antalya.
On the way, we stopped at a family's roadside restaurant for local pancakes enjoyed by all. Once we arrived in Antalya, we all had free time to explore the city. Norm and I took a boat ride in the bay and walked around the old town. Overall, a low-key day.
The following day, we drove to Kas, a beautiful seaside town. A charming destination on the Turquoise Coast, Old Town Kas is a lovely maze of pedestrian streets that remind visitors of the Greek islands. Which, by the way, is only 2 km away.
Some people took a ferry to spend the day in Greece, and some went scuba diving. Unfortunately, I was not one of the divers. I picked up a head cold and can't equalize or pop my ears, so I cannot dive. Norm and four others went while I toured the town, playing with my camera settings.
In the afternoon, Norm and I went to the beach and later enjoyed a nice dinner with a sunset view over the marina with Dana and Carmen—a very relaxing day.
We also spent a day on a boat, enjoying swimming in the cold sea, soaking up the sun, drinking, and having a nice supper on the boat.
