It's a lazy beach day and a short flight to Mallorca
A 40-minute taxi ride took us to Sitges, a lovely beach town away from Barcelona. Our guide suggested this beach as a more pleasant, less pickpocketing place.
We rented a shaded cabana and loungers to hang out for the afternoon on a pride beach.
Sitges is a very active LGBTQ town. A stage was set up above the beach behind us, so we knew there would be some entertainment tonight.
I chatted with a fellow sitting in front of us who was always smiling, energetic, and knew many people. I said to Norm if he isn't an entertainer, he should be.
He told me he was pretty nervous as he would perform in the drag show that evening. I would have liked to stay and watch him as I am sure he would be fabulous.
We cabbed back to Barcelona for another lovely dinner and evening walk. By this time, Norm's knee and ankle are feeling better. A relaxing beach day was what he needed.
Our next day is a travel day as we fly to Mallorca, a popular island an hour's flight from Barcelona.
We flew with Wendy and Alastair to the island, who rented a car for the next couple of days. We are staying at the Esplendido in Port De Soller. What a beautiful hotel and beach town. I can see why it is a popular destination.
We enjoyed a stroll along the waterfront, stopping for a drink and later dinner.
