Mafia Island and beyond

Exploring the vibrant underwater world during our scuba dives was an interesting journey through this thriving reef system. The two tank dives were a treasure trove, displaying colorful corals, schools of exotic fish, eels, and an encounter with a  turtle. Oh, and  we spotted a big green moray eel—the biggest eel I have seen.

Following our breathtaking dives, we indulged in a serene sunset cruise aboard a traditional wooden dhow. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we reveled in drinks, dances, and the enchanting sight of fruit bats taking flight into the night sky—a perfect end to a great day.

Our following day, marked by travel, exceeded our expectations. Despite a minor delay of just 30 minutes with our first flight, we seamlessly made our connecting flight to Dar es Salaam—a delightful change of luck.

Our culinary senses were treated to an exquisite meal at the Arusha Villa Karamu Coffee Estate before we settled in for a tranquil night's rest.
