Malapascua to Bohol

One advantage of an early morning dive is that you still have a full day ahead of you when you return.

We have another long travel day ahead of us, so off we go. A 30-minute ferry ride, a 3.5-hour drive another 2-hour ferry ride, and finally a 30-minute drive gets us to our hotel on Bohol Island.

The following day we rented a scooter and rode out to see the tarsiers. Tarsiers are the only entirely carnivorous primates, and the second-smallest, weighing about three to five ounces and only the size of a fist.

They are such curious and adorable-looking little things who like owls can turn their heads 180 degrees. They are endangered so we went to the Tarsier Sanctuary where we quietly walked with a guide to see some in the trees.

On our way back to our hotel we stopped for a mango smoothie at Palo Beach. Bohol Island is the prettiest most tropical and lush island we have seen so far.

We have a 2:30 date with a bellboy at our hotel so we freshen up and meet him for our next outing.

Yoda?

Waiting for Sunday?
