Kotor, Montenegro

We continue to Montenegro and arrive at the Bay of Kotor. The highlight of today is the long hike up to the top of the St. John's Fortress. The Kotor Fortress stands an impressive 1,200 meters over Boka Bay, with 1,350 stone steps leading up to the top. We added a few more as we took the wrong route up and back a bit. The Kotor Fortress steps are made of uneven stone and the staircase is quite narrow in sections,  with slippery rocks off to the side.

For those of us who went,  It was a fun hike up with several photo ops at the top.
Everyone gathered for a lovely dinner and anniversary celebration for one of our couples,  and then some of us went out  for drinks and passed a few bars with live music, creating a fun night life vibe.
