Coron, The Super Ultimate Tour
It's another island hopping day. There is more land mass here around Coron with short boat rides in between stops.
The beaches are stunning, with bright sand and varying shades of ocean blues.
Our first two stops are to swim and snorkel in two lakes.
Kayangan Lake, has brackish water, sometimes called brack water. It is water that has more salinity than freshwater, but not as much as seawater. As a result, there is very little life in it, but the Rock formations both below and above are ominous and impressive. The lake water is so clean you can see a long way downally is beautiful, but oh so crowded, which takes away from the otherwise tranquillity of the area.
Our second visit to Baracuda Lake was much the same only busier. People line up for 15 minutes or more to get that stunning serene Instagram shot, before continuing to the lakesnorkelledrkled around, it's better with your head in the water as you don't notice the hoards of people. By the time we left, there was another line of people waiting to get to the lake.
It truly is beautiful, but to see it, you just have to look past the all the people.
Stop 3, took us to Bonol Beach for lunch which included, fish, crab, and oysters.
Next we visited Skeleton Point for a wreck and reef snorkel, then another reef to snorkel.
Our final stop was to kayak at twin lagoon. I am such a softy, we chose not to kayak, but Norm went for a little swim, while I stayed on the boat to warm up in the last of the sun.
I picked tonighrestaurantaunt, it's close by, and vhippie-dippieppie. The food was very good, but I think Norm is done with my restaurant picks where we sit on the floor.
Beautiful white sand beaches and clear warm water
You can see how clear the lake is.
Norm is buying some banana cue. They were so good we went back for more.
When Norm gets his hands on some brain coral this is what you get.
Reef for some more snorkelling
Jewelry salesmen are everywhere.
