Diving, 2 wrecks, & a reef.❤️🤿

After a day spent relaxing and taking a ferry to Coron we finally get to go scuba diving.
There are 12 sunken wartime ships at the bottom of the ocean off the shores of Coron. They are casualties of a September 1944 attack on the Imperial Japanese Navy by US Navy aircraft during the Second World War.

We hop onto our boat, with 7 other divers, three master divers and three crew. Our initial journey lasts about one hour passing various sized islands along the way.

Teru Kaze Maru, a 30 meter Anti Submarine Craft is our first dive site. We dive in and around the wreck for 50 minutes.
There's coral inside the wreck but tons of coral around it. It was a very interesting dive. It's always fun when you can enter a wreck.

The second wreck dive was amazing!  The Morazan Maru a passenger cargo vessel is 100 meters long. What a cool dive. We were able to go inside one end and dive  through to the other end, exploring  the different large cargo bays via a maze of small corridors.
It's so exilerating to dive through dark unknown spaces. It's dark, and our eyes adjust somewhat, but as you pan your flashlight around you see  fish staring back at you,  that you otherwise didn't know were there.

While exiting the ship we are lucky to spot a green turtle eating inside the wreck and followed him back out.
The reef around the wreck offers a plethora of coral, sea anemones, and fish. There is just so much to look at. I love this type of dive where I can slowly float by so much that makes me think wow, wow, wow and marvel at the beautiful ecosystem within our oceans.
I also spotted a massive white angelfish looking fish who was shyly watching us exit the wreck.

Dive 3 was a nice relaxing shallower reef dive. Again, so much to see.

I really enjoyed the diving here, especially the wreck dives. It's not the most colorful location but it's healthy and diverse.

After our dive we uploaded footage from the Gopro I rented, went out for supper, freshened up at our room and went for another relaxing massage before calling it a night.
My favorite day so far.
